Quick facts

Transport: Bologna is the capital of the Emilia Romagna region and home to the biggest train staiton in the region. It’s very well connected with fast train from Milan, Venice, Rome, and other cities.

Siesta: Many restaurants (almost most) take a siesta after lunch and before dinner. So make sure you eat at regular time or have food or you might be starving at 2pm with everything closing!

When to visit: Bologna gets very cold in the winter and very hot in the summer. It’s best to visit during spring or autumn.
