Slovenia
Slovenia is one of the best hidden gems in terms of natural beauty in Europe. It’s most famous for Lake Bled, but their their capital Ljubljana and nearby Lake Bohinj is equally stunning and worth a visit. While the best way to explore everything is to embark on a road trip, it is perfectly doable with public transport as well!

Transport: The trains aren’t great in Slovenia, so it’s best to take buses. I use the Omio app to get around.
Currency: Euros – Slovenia has joined the eurozone in 2007 and so the prices aren’t as low as surrounding countries.
Sim Card: Many sim cards are valid for entire Europe
Handy Apps: You can also get Bolt taxis in Slovenia.
Language: Slovenia’s language is similar to the rest of Balkan like Croatia. They speak good English as well.
